If your student is considering attending college, determining the best path for working toward a two-year or four-year degree can be overwhelming. But the process has become easier.

Flexible credit transfer

students outsideThe Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) and University System of New Hampshire (USNH) now provide course credit transfer opportunities that allow students a wide range of options in working toward a degree. Students can begin their education at a two-year CCSNH college and then transfer their course credits and continue their education at a four-year USNH college or university. Students must achieve a course grade of a "C" or higher for course credits to be eligible for transfer.

Community College System of New Hampshire

  • roboticsThe system includes seven campuses: Berlin, Claremont, Concord, Laconia, Manchester, Nashua, and Stratham, with learning center locations in other communities.
  • A variety of two-year associate degree programs prepare students for immediate employment or transfer to four-year institutions.
  • NHTI in Concord is CCSNH' only residential campus. All campuses provide easy access and parking for students who want to live at home and commute.
  • Financial aid is available at all of the two-year colleges.
  • Because tuition, fees and expenses are modest at the two-year colleges, students often complete one or two years at a CCSNH college before transferring to a four-year USNH college or university.

University System of New Hampshire

  • unhUSNH provides a range of college sizes and learning environments at five campuses: University of New Hampshire at Durham and at Manchester, Plymouth State University, Keene State College, and Granite State College.
  • USNH offers four-year bachelor's degree programs, as well as master's and doctoral programs, in a variety of subject areas.
  • The University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University and Keene State College are residential campuses that provide housing for students. Independent off-campus housing options are also available.
  • You can attend full time or part time at any USNH institution.
  • USNH institutions are highly regarded in many subject areas for excellence in teaching, research and public service.
  • Financial aid is available at all of the four-year colleges.
